Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
As per your complain it seems like a
mucous cyst known as
Mucocele and it is formed due to clogging or ruptured duct of the minor
salivary gland leading to formation of a bluish bump..
Another cause can be formation of a
Hematoma which is formed due to traumatic
injury.
If it is a mucocele:
On picking there seems to be a discharge containing blood and mucous and the dark purple scab is due to release of the fluids from the bump leaving the empty mucosa..
Spitting of blood is also due to bleeding from the mucocele..
It is mostly self limiting and resolves on its own..
If it is a Hematoma it will get resolved on its own..
If it reoccurs you can consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and treatment can be planned according to diagnosis..
Any further queries are welcome..
Wishing you a Good Health..
Thanks and regards.
