Suggest Treatment For A Painful Lump On The Shoulder Of A Child

I just noticed a lump on my 8 month old daughter s shoulder. It looks like a bruise and my wife said that my baby has always had it. Her concern is that it appears to be a little bigger. We do not know if it is just a bruise or something more. Does this sound like something we need to address immediately?

Understanding your concern. As per your query and the symptoms you mention can occur due to may reasons like allergic reaction , cyst , lipoma , skin tag , fibroadenoma and enlagrged vein . I would suggest you to consult pediatrician for proper examination . Doctor will examine physically by checking the tenderness and consistency . Doctor may also order blood test or take sample for lab test . Doctor may prescribe corticosteroid ointment , antibiotics , anti inflammatory and immunosuppresants . For now keep it cleam with warm water and keep its dry .
