Suggest Treatment For A Painful Lump On The Neck

Hi I have a pea size lump that feels like it is in my muscle tendon mid ways down the side of my neck. I work out a lot and recently started lifting weights. I think I may have strained my neck I am not sure. The lump itself does not hurt but I was having some muscle soreness in my neck. A few weeks ago I also had a deep tissue massage and a day after my neck was extremely sore but I did not notice the lump until a few days ago after working out. What might it be and will it go away?
