Suggest Treatment For A Painful Lump On The Buttock

I have a small lump/growth protruding off of my right buttock, about an inch or so away from my butt crack. I've had this thing for about 1-2 months now. It's pretty tender, maybe a centimeter long, and tends to get itchy on occasion. I'm trying to schedule an appointment to get this thing removed. From what I've said about it, is this thing most likely a tumor?

Hi,
It seems that there might be having small sebaceous cyst and now it became infected giving you pain and tenderness.
As this is of long duration ingrown hair follicle infection is less likely.
Consult doctor and get clinically examined, which will give exact clue about the lump.
Ok and take care.
