Suggest Treatment For A Painful Blister On The Elbow

I got in a motorcycle accident about 2weeks ago and it s healing really well, but in one area on my elbow that is actually healing the best is developing a little blister on the surface of it! What causes that? And is it normal! If so what should I do to it?

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

It is not uncommon to have painful blisters like swelling or redness over the skin post injury to the elbow following motor cycle accident but they are not normal which OI would want to clear you.

It could be due to friction or may be due to skin infection or may be a allergic reactions but no need to worry as it can be managed by appropriate medications .

You may require topical and oral antihistamines with anti inflammatory tablets and topical steroids.

You may consult dermatologist for further advice if blisters persists.

Thanks.
