I have a mole about the size of the tip pf my pinky finger, its skin colored and has grown in size over the past few years. Its not in a very comfortable area so it bothers me. Its squishy and tender. I have moles everywhere so I never thought twice about this one, but its been bothering me for the past few days. How worried should I be?
Going by your description this seems like an irritated skin tag to me Or may be an irritated a melanotic mole. Moles are usually pigmented, though there can be amelanotic moles, whereas skin tags are skin colored, soft and sessile or may have a stalk. Since it is probably in an area which rubs against each other and therefore it gets caught and this tends to irritate. If I was the treating doctor I would suggest you get it removed as it is discomforting you. It can be easily removed with a radiofrequency cautery under local anesthesia. You may contact either a dermatologist or a general surgeon
