Hello, I have a lump under my tounge it was small two years ago, but I went to the doctors and they told me not to worry, now its hot bigger 3 times the size, its under my tounge by my front teeth bone (if that makes sence) it doesn't hurt, its lager on my left side of my mouth and it doesn't really have a different colour and feels a bit grisly, any idea?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain a lump under the tongue by the front teeth bone seems to be most probably be a mandibular Torus and can occur due to overgrowth of bone and appears over the bone as a bony hard lump..
While a few other common causes can be a mucous cyst or Mucocele or an Adenoma..
You should definitely consult an Oral Surgeon and get evaluated and after a thorough clinical examination and investigations like X-ray can be advised to confirm the cause so that treatment can be planned accordingly..

One thing that I would like t tell you is that all the conditions are harmless and can be removed surgically, so do not worry..
However if it is a mucocele then at times concentrated salt water rinses can help in its regression..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
