Welcome to health care magic.

1.If you feel there is a swelling and you can feel the mass / lump in or adjacent to the testis then it needs examination.
2.In this case i would have examine the scrotum first and ask for a ultrasound.
3.Ultrasoud will help in assessing the cause for swelling, and structure you and examining doctor felt like lump can be assessed, presence of any fluid collection.
4.Blood supply and chord status and vascular pathologies can be assessed.
5.After that treat the cause according to the findings on examination and scan result. Good luck.

Hope i have answered your query.
