Suggest Treatment For A Knot On The Forearm

I was riding my bike and took a spill when I tried to turn on dirt. I scraped my forearm and shoulder and the forearm has developed a sort of knot. It has been about six hours since the fall, and I noticed the knot about one and a half hours ago. I can t find any information online, and I hope you can help because it is annoying me when I exercise. I would like to know what the knot is and why it developed. Thank you and have a good day.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
I have studied your case and I think you are having collection of blood in subcuataneous tissue. This looks like a knot. It is going to resolve by its own. If you found that it is not decreasing in four to five days than i would recommend you to apply hot water fomentation. You also need to take oral antibiotics after discussing with your doctor. Also apply a compression bandage. This will prevent any infection and also cause swelling to resolve faster.
Some time a needle aspiration is needed.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any followup questions.
thanks.
