Suggest Treatment For A Draining Abscess In Groin Region

I have an absess in the crease of my leg it got the size of a small potato, I ran a fever and place hot pads on it till it started draining..the pain was horrible, 2 days later I had it lanced, it's been 3 weeks and still draining. How long will this drained. The Dr. released me and said it was healing great.

Hi, i do care for your concern.
Abscess got treated in hospital and now still draining, you have not mentioned the drugs which you are taking now.
large abscess intervened at the early stage will get recovered within two weeks.
i would advise
To continue the antibiotic prescribed by your physician, keep the region as dry as possible, apply antiseptic lotion and let the wound open.
This will stop the draining within a week completely.
