Hi doctor. I'm 37 y/o, f. I've been having chronic gastric pain since i was a teenager. It usually occurs when I didn't eat well and when I'm stress. Sometimes the pain worsen after I eat. My stomach also often become gassy. I'm not on any medication. The only way for me to cure this pain is by sleeping. When I wake up often there's no pain. I'm not sure now..if I have gastric pain or stomach cancer?
hi Thanks for asking HCM. You seem to be having hunger pain which is induced by stress. Get a gastroscopy done to rule out any pathology inside your esophagus, stomach or duodenum. Till then avoid hunger, take small frequent meals, take fruits, vegetables and other fibrous diet. Drink lots of water. Avoid aerated drink, tea, coffee and spicy food. You can take antacids during acute phase of pain. You must see a doctor for a proper diagnosis of cause of pain.
