Suggest Treatment For UTI

Hi, I m 29 years old, female and 85kg. Urinalysis1 date: Jan 20, 2010. PUScells 3-12/hpf I took a Inoflox 400mg for 9 days. I wasn t able to get a urine test on the 10th day. So I took one today. It says PUS cells 15-25/hpf. A doctor advised me to take two (2) Zinnat 500mg 2x aday for 7 days. I realized that the dosage is way higher. Could it be that my UTI recurring because of the low dosage on the previous medication (Inoflox)?

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a urinary tract infection.

I suggest using antibiotics such as Ciprofloxacin.

I also suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
