Suggest Treatment For SMA Syndrome

My daughter had and maybe still has SMA syndrome. She received a GJ tube, gained some weight and then they said the SMA was ok. Is this possible? Some say only an operation can cure SMA. She still throws up after eating and her tummy still hurts. They said she must have gastroparesis at the same moment they said she had SMSS. They seemed perplexed, though, that their tests did not show true gastroparesis. And, no, she has never had an eating disorder. She did loose 15 lbs in a year and a half from the moment she started her period at age 11 years 4 months to the day she threw up at 12 and 1/2 years old. She had weight to lose but we knew bodies change at puberty so we never worried. She does have a small frame. She is 5 2 .
