Suggest Treatment For RA

my husband was diagnosed with RA about 18 months ago. He is now 38 years old and has has severe joint pain and flare ups. 2 months after being diagnosed and put on methotrixate, and predisone.......he suddenly had severe testical pain and needed emergency surgery for testicular torsion. 9 months later after being new to an infusion drug (remecade).............my husband had a serious reaction to this drug and thought he was having a heart attack, and many other things...........followed by 4 days in the Hospitol where weird things started happening such as he could not open his mouth, lift his arms, and had a hard time breathing. The Dr.'s were puzzled.........as this is not typical RA stuff. 2 months later my husband developed a blood clot in his leg and was in the hosp for 5 days to resolve it. He is tired all the time and has many joint and muscle pain and weakness. One week ago (2 months since the blood clot) the specialist did more tests and told him that it was Lupus and not RA. We are scared to death about what this means and how this is attacking so fiercly and with out warning. My husbadn has high blood pressure and heart disease in the family..........should we expect the Lupas to attack his heart? Just looking for some guidance and hope on how to help him to live a normal life without cronic pain and fatigue.............He starts on Humaria soon, is this a helpful drug?

hello,
if this is lupus, then it may not be such a good idea to be on humira, since this drug is similar to remicade.
It is generally given for RA, not for lupus.
there are other drugs available for lupus like belimumab.
