Suggest Treatment For Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

I was diagnosed with ADHD 4 times throughout my life and have been on Adderall I m trying to renew my prescription and find a good Dr. I am 48 yrs old and have been without my medication for a couple weeks now. I have an appointment at Park Place but they won t be able to see me until September how would I go about getting a prescription sooner than Sept?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I am sorry to say that you can get prescription only from your doctor. Unless, your case is very aggravated, and cannot control your symptoms at home.

So, can ask for a prescription from the medicals there. Otherwise, should wait for the next appointment.

Usually, we do not recommend to stop Adderall "cold turkey" but reducing the dose. However, nothing bad will happen to you during these days without Adderall, Just check your symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
