Suggest Treatment For Alzheimer S Disease

Hello, My mother, who is 73 years old and recently went into a nursing home, has been diagnosed with Alzheimer s. She has memory problems and needs help doing most things like bathing and walking. Lately she has been VERY inappropriate sexually. She says extremely X-rated things to her doctors and the other men who work at her nursing home, including the male patients. I ve never heard my mother talk like this. Is this normal for an Alzheimer s patient and if so, why? thank you.

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. Alzheimer's is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. Symptoms usually develop slowly and get worse over time, becoming severe enough to interfere with daily tasks.

Inappropriate sexual behavior is one of the behavior symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease that can lead to the most frustrating, embarrassing and even frightening moments for caregivers. Like other symptoms, it is important to understand that the disease is at work. In particular, acts of of sexual dis-inhibition result from damage especially in the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, and disrupts the individual’s ability to control responses.

Please work with your doctor in order to understand more about Alzheimer's and treatment procedure.
