Suggest Treatment For ADHD

Hello Doctor. I'm 26 years old and I am starting to realize, up to this point adhd has destroyed my life. Always knew I was smart but would lose attention easily and had a hard time following instructions. This has also been a major problem at jobs I work at. I have a hard time doing even simple task. I'm 26 and have gone nowhere. This has to stop. What's the solution. I have no insurance or doctor.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

I can understand your concern. In most of individuals ADHD symptoms reduce with advancing age and most of individuals suffering from childhood ADHD improve in their symptoms by the age of 14 years. In some individuals persisting symptoms should not be ignored and proper medicines help to improve the symptoms. Medicines like stimulants as Dextroamphetamine, Methylphenidate etc are commonly used for adult ADD. These drugs help to improve the focus and thus reduce the distractibility. Please visit a psychiatrist for help and for prescription of these drugs.
