Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern.
Incomplete data like detailed report of ultrasound done, any lab test done to find out the chemical composition of the stone.
Usually kidney stones of less than 5 mm tend to pass spontaneously. However, if the stone persists to cause obstruction along with pain, or infection (fever,
abdominal pain, chills with burning urination) it needs to removed by lithortipsy or by ureteroscope.
Uric acid calculi, which comprise 5-10% of
urinary calculi, are unique in that they may be managed medically. Urine alkalinization with
potassium citrate (or alternatively sodium citrate or
sodium bicarbonate) will dissolve uric acid stones.
Meanwhile take Buscopan tablets along with NSAID pain killer like
Diclofenac for the symptomatic relief of pain & drink plenty of water.
Drugs like Sodium citrate or potassium citrate (syrup) is effective in dissolving the stones if they are composed of uric acid.
Hope this answers your query.
