Radiologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

There are small structures called discs which are seen between small bones of the spine from neck through the lower back.

You seem to be having a serious problem these small discs being displaced and causind severe pressure on the cervical spinal cord at level C 6 - C 7 and the cord is also getting affected. There is also nerve root compression on the right side at the same level. There are also extra bony growths at levels C 3 - C 4 and C 5 - C 6 and this is also causing mild pressure on the anterior surface of the spinal cord. This can cause pain and numbness in the neck and upper limbs.

It is important to discuss the amount of pressure that the discs are causing on the cord. Surgery may be indicated in you. Please discuss with your neurosurgeon immediately.
