Suggest Treatment After Accidental Application Of Caustic Pencil On Face

Hello. I am a 19 year old female. I was instructed by a doctor to use a caustic pencil in order to remove skin tags on my neck. After the first day, I noticed that the area around the skin tag became as dark as the skin tag itself. Somehow, the dark stuff got onto my hand. I accidentally swiped my face with said hand and now it got onto my face. I tried to remove it but nothing worked. So, how can I remove it from my face and hand?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The issue sound secondary skin damage from caustic pencil. It is the level of dermis containing melanocytes responses for skin pigmentation. There may be issue with secretion of MSH causing hyper-pigmentation. Although Laser therapy is best way to get rid off this, an expert opinion with dermatologist would be highly appreciated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
