Suggest Therapy For Bipolar Disorder

I have been really depressed for a while and feeling alot of different emotions. I came across bipolar disorder and read the symptoms. I was realls shocked as reading it basically explained me and exactly how I am feeling. I was quite happy to know a reason why I have been like this so I can help it until I went to my gp this morning. i mentioned bipolar and he dismissed it without asking questions. I really cant ignore this incase its true and I cant treat it. what can I do ??

Thanks for your query, In my opinion at times, while reading a description online one may think that he/she is suffering from a particular illness, but you need to consult a doctor to confirm or rule out the same. If your GP has heard you and then dismissed it, then please go by what your GP advises. If you are not satisfied with that, please consult some other physician or preferably a psychiatrist
