Suggest Therapy For Arthritis

HAving pain in the right knee that shoots down to the calf creating a great deal of pain and discomfort. The pain is not constant but feel it every day. The doctor said it is arthritis and has prescribed some medications that could cause a heart attack according to the side effects, I do not have heart trouble but someone has mentioned synvics shots. It is somethings that is viable I would like to put off knee replacements as long as possible.

Yes you can take hyaluronic viscus shot in knee joint.
Known side effect include-Edema can increase post injection.antigenic reaction can occur.
You may need to do renal function test and pelvic ultrasound.
Yes they can prolong knee replacement for few months.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and tens will help, along with knee exercises.

Life style changes will help in reducing pain which include,
LOAD REDUCTION: Protecting the joint from excessive load may slow down the rate of cartilage loss. It is also effective in relieving pain. The heavier you are, the more stress you put on your joints. Weight reduction for obese patients, wearing shock-absorbing shoes, avoiding activities like climbing stairs and using a walking stick are worthwhile.
