General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Thyroid disease can involve low or high levels of thyroid hormone.

Thyroid hormones are released from the thyroid gland in the neck and they affect the levels of TSH which is released in the brain.

If your thyroid hormone levels are low, this would cause an increase in TSH.
If the thyroid hormones levels are high, this causes an decrease in TSH.

If your TSH is now normal this is likely due to the medication. If it is stopped then your thyroid hormone levels and your TSH may become abnormal again.
You may want to consider discussing this with your doctor.

I hope this helps
