Suggest The Dosage Of L-Thyroxine

my TSH 3RD GEN IS 5.56, T4 FREE IS 1.5, T4 TOTAL 4.2, T3 UPTAKE 35. My doctor may prescribe me L-thyroxine. what may be the proper dose? May I delay taking L-thyroxine, and intensify intake of iodine rich fruits and vegetables in my daily foods. I believe in natural process of balancing by the maker of our life (GOD), anything even hormones. Hope it is not disrespectful to doctors. Also state major side effects of L-thyroxine. If you can share some white paper reading on this topics. I like to believe, i am responsible to understand and maintain my health and spirit. YYYY@YYYY if sending a package via email. Many thanks to the patient doctor who will address my strange inquiry.

Hi,

Age of the Patient is mentioned!!

However, one can withhold the drug usage for now immediately. But Plan for iodine rich foods in the diet. A few good sources of iodine are yogurt, cranberries, strawberries, potatoes, and all as organic form.

In a very few cases, the following side effects have been noted:

Diarrhoea
Shortness of breath
Tender bones

But, you need to worry about the side-effects as you are not starting the drug. So don't get depressed or be in depressed state for any thing in life.

One of the major causes of hypothyroidism is depression. So, please take care of yourself.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr.Mohammed Abdullah
