Suggest Tests To Diagnose Symptoms Of Anemia

I m having the symptoms of anemia but I m not for sure if that s it. We ve also been having really hot days where I live 100 degrees plus so I m wondering if it s heat exhaustion. I really don t want to go to the dr. Unless it gets worse but I was just in the hospital for ulcers so I m kinda thinking its anemia. Do you have to diagnose anemia through blood tests?

There are various type of anemia like iron deficiency, vitamin B12 deficiency/megaloblastic anemia, anemia of chronic disease, hemolytic anemia.
Yes blood test are useful to diagnose the anemia.
Following test are useful:
serum iron, ferritin, total iron binding capicity, red cell distribution width, CBC, blood smear preparation, erythropoetin level, LDH level, MCH, MCV, MCHC, Hb variant by HPLC method, vitamin B12 level, folic acid level.

First you have to go for HB and blood picture then next step depend on the symptoms and test result.
