Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Growth of the baby could be monitored in early weeks of pregnancy by ultrasound scan. Progress of pregnancy can also be checked by estimating beta hCG levels in blood, which needs to double its values every 48 to 72 hours.
Kindly take the medications as advised. At this stage, only fetal pole and gestational sac could be made out in the scan. Appearance of heartbeat can be picked up by 7 to 8 weeks in ultrasound scan, and it would tell weather the pregnancy is viable or not. Follow-up scans are necessary to determine the progression of pregnancy. from mid of second trimester onwards, fetal growth can be assessed by physical parameters from measurement of abdominal girth as well as monitoring weight, and correlated by means of ultrasound scan.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
