Suggest Tests To Diagnose Allergies Due To Mold Exposure

I have recently learned that my house has serious molds, including black mold . Simultaneously I ve experienced all the common symptoms of mold allergy, especially a very itchy dermatitis which is worst at night. My house has undergone remediation. My question is what test is there to determine mold allergy and what kind of doctor do I need to see.? My dermatologist was consulted several times before the mold was discovered and was entirely clueless. Thank you for any response.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms seem to be related to mold allergy. I suggest you to do the allergy test to confirm the allergic reaction. I recommend using antihistamines daily such as Levocetirizine. If the symptoms continue you should see your doctor for prescription steroid shots.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
