Suggest Taking Savaysa Instead Of Fondaparinux (Arixtra) For A Blood Clotting Disorder

Hello, I currently take fondaparinux (Arixtra) for a blood clotting disorder. I am researching a cheaper alternative as the fondaparinux is pricey, even with insurance. I can t take heparin, I seen Savaysa and am wondering how that would compare? thanks

Hi,

Davaysa ate new drugs which are used for treatment and prevention of clots. They can be used in certain conditions instead of Fondaparinux but not all cases... however, these are also quite expensive. Another cheaper option will be warfarin.

You can discuss your concern with your primary doc who may suggest a better alternative.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
