Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello, Welcome to Health Care Magic

I can understand your concern. A lot of individuals suffer such problems during their growing years like comparison with others or cousins. Such comparisons do nothing good instead reduce confidence of individuals. Most of parents don't do this knowingly but they do such comparisons because they want their kids to perform good like others. Still this causes significant psychological trauma in some. You have low self esteem, poor confidence and low personality and you also hate your parents.

I would advise to please visit a counsellor for proper evaluation and treatment. Repeated counselling and cognitive therapy will help to find out unwanted thoughts and cognitive distortions and in last individual and psychologist work together to correct all these distortions. This will help to beat your depression.

If symptoms persist even after psychological consultation then visit a psychiatrist for medicines. SSRIs can help to treat such symptoms.

Thanks, hope this helps you
