General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Sebowash shampoo which you have been using contains 'fluocinolone', which is a synthetic topical corticosteroid that has anti-inflammatory, anti-itching and vasoconstrictive properties. It is used to treat seborrhoeic dermatitis of the scalp.
Common side effects include: dryness, folliculitis, acne, allergic dermatitis, secondary infection, skin atrophy, stretch marks, sweat or heat rash, burning, itching, irritation and hypopigmentation.
You should use your Sebowash Shampoo once daily for 2 weeks and then you can reduce to once a week to prevent itching and flaking of dandruff.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
