Suggest Side Effects Of Garcinia Cambogia Pills For Reducing Weight

hellow doctor .. iam 23 year old and i wieght 93 kilos .. and iam taking sodium valproate 500ml per day and lamitor 100ml . per day .. and i want to loose weight by taking slimming garcinia cambogia and detox cleanse pills .. does it have any effect on my health ? or in other words .. can those medications together make troubles for me ? .. what are the side effects .. ? thank u

Hello dear,

Garcinia cambogia has been endorsed as an effective weight loss aid, but there are no scientific studies to support it.
However, there have been reports of Liver damage/ Hepatotoxicity following the use of Garcinia.
As you are already taking Sodium valproate and Lipitor, there are chances of drug interaction with Garcinia & detox pills, which may further aggravate the risk of Liver damage,
So, in my opinion it will not be advisable to use Garcinia and detox pills as a measure of weight loss.
