Hi, Eritel AM contains both telmisartan and amlodipine which is used to treat high blood pressure. It lowers the blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels and making it easier for your heart to pump blood around your body. This helps in reducing your risks of having a heart attack or a stroke. Side effects of Eritel AM are nausea, vomiting, headache, sleepiness, swelling in the ankles or feet, dizziness, tiredness, upset stomach, stomach pain, muscle pain, weakness, anxiety, diarrhea or constipation, sweating, changes in vision, difficulty or painful micturition, back pain, allergic reactions etc. It is important to keep taking this medication even if you feel well. Hence, don t stop taking this medication unless your doctor tells you to. If you stop taking this medication abruptly without consulting your doctor or switching to other antihypertensive medication, then your blood pressure may become high and cause heart attack or stroke. So, take it regularly at a fixed time each day, as prescribed by your doctor. Your previously using medication called Amlong contains amlodipine alone which is also used to treat high blood pressure.
