Suggest Safe Injection For Hip Arthritis Treatment

What is the safest Injection for Hip Arthritis? I am scheduled to have 1 CC of Kenalog this Wed. and I am highly allergic to drugs...I have only been taking one aspirin per day to prepare for this procedure...(have to for the pain)...I have read about the side effects and am now worried about the procedure...Shall I ask the doctor to use another Cortisone Drug?

Hi,

For pain in joints which that's severe, steroids injection are quite effective and the procedure is quite safe in expert hands with little risks that would be explained to you.

Kenalog is the one that we use quite often for the same reason and it works quite well though there are few other options available.

If you have any special bad experience with Kenalog or you are allergic then you can request another one, otherwise, it does not make a lot of difference to use this or other.
