Suggest Safe And Non-interactive Antibiotics For Ear Infection While On Diltiazem And Xarelto

I have been on Xarelto and Diltiazem for 7 months and want to be prepared for the need to take antibiotics before going to the doctor. I recently had a ear infection and went to the doctor and the doctor was struggling with what antibiotic to give me. I sat with the doctor looking a webMD searching interactions. I don t want to go through this again I want to be prepared. So,what are some of the safest non-interactive antibiotics to take with xarelto 20 mg and diltiazem 120 2x day? Can I get a list for the future for the following: General infections and UTI s, dental work, flu, pneumonia, ear infections etc. Thank you. Carol

Hi,

Noted your history of being on Diltiazem, Xarelto, have ear infection, the Doctor was struggling with WebMD to search for an antibiotic safe for you wherein there would no interaction with the present medications that you are getting for the last 7 months.
It is interesting to know the your Doctor was struggling and you are searching Med sites like ours, this is creditable.
Since the antibiotics and such medications are strictly prescription based to be written by a Qualified Doctor you have to consult the Specialist the Internal Medicine or Pharmacology and find out the best one suited for you.
If you search the sites like webMD or so there is be noted reactions, interaction with all medications.
Hence it is always the weighted risk against benefit that is calculated by your treating Doctor.
