Suggest Remedy To Stop Constant Loose Motions In Children

My son is 5 years old. He has been suffering from loose motions for the last one month or so. He was given some medicines like Flora and walamicin by his Paediatrician but they did not help him much. The doctor says nothing to worry. Please let us know why it happens and what is the remedy.

Hi,

Loose stools persisting for 1 month needs evaluation, but we need more details - frequency and colour of stools, any blood staining, associated fever etc. Depending on this, we might need a blood routine test and stool examination. Kindly discuss with your doctor or get back to us with details. Meanwhile, give him frequent sips of ORS solution to avoid dehydration.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
