Suggest Remedy To Reduce Swelling In Lips

HI i got 15 stitches on my lower lip its been roughly about 60 hours since the incident. How long does it take for the swelling to go down? Im currently taking amoxicillin and it doesnt seem to be working. Is there anything over the counter that can help reduce swelling?

Hi, thank you for asking healthcare Magic.
You may try a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug like diclofenac, ketoprofen, ibuprofen. Any of these can help reduce the swelling. Concerning the antibiotic you are taking (amoxicilline), I think cloxacilline would have an added advantage because it would cover the germ that can easily super-infect the wound.

I hope that helps
I wish you well
