Hi,

Your mother is of 65. She has vitiligo on dorsa of right foot. If the patch is active and increasing in size, you may go for treatment. If it is stable, avoid treatment. Even age is also the favtor which decreases the chances of cure. The patch on foot is mosttly resistant to treatment. Still, you may consult dermatologist for preventive treatment. Trioxsalen tab25 mg daily in morning and levamisole 50 mg at night may be given to her. And iI would like to advise either tacrolimus oint 0.1%. Or pimecrolimus cream exposure to sun may be helpful.

I generally advise vitamin C and lactic acid containing diet for restriction in my patients having such problem.

I hope you got my answer.
