I don't have any money to pay fees. I've been researching symptoms of PTSD (spouse stabbed me with a butcher knife then killed himself, '86) and major depressive disorder to ensure I know how to properly characterize my condition when I meet with Social Security next week to file for SSDI. I wasn't sure what "motor tension" means but if it pertains to tension in, for example, my neck and shoulders I have it. I'm also a somewhat obsessive toe tapper and fidget a lot. Currently taking (free, non-profit mental health clinic) Cymbalta, Restoril, Xanax as needed, Nuvigil to stay awake during daytime, something else I can't think of for mental. Was on Abilify, gained even more weight, before that Topamax. Medical, non-mental health meds-- simvastatin, levothyroxizine although Drs at the free medical clinic I go to disagree about whether I'm hypo even though I have ALL the symptoms. The levo isn't working, IMO they should try adding Cytomel. I'm a law school grad, top-notch research skills. I'm still depressed, anxious, hypervigilant, overwhelming feelings of dread for no logical reason, BAD insomnia mainly falling asleep but also staying asleep. I have zero appetite, no interest in food, I barely eat (honestly, I don't keep junk food or soda around) yet I've well gained over 30 lbs. in four years it sucks. Recently I've been gaining 3-5 lbs. a month. I've blown up like a balloon from size zero to 10 even though I usually eat one fish fillet or chicken breast and a cup of hot chocolate at bed time each day. That ain't much. I'm a tiny boned person under all this blubber, mainly in the belly and waist but it's spread to fat arms and butt too--everything, my boobs are enormous for my size. I intend to talk to my psych about switching to Wellbutrin and Topamax. And, age 56.5 female, post menohell.
