Urologist 's  Response
Hi and welcome to HCM..
I am really sorry, to hear about your problems..
I am going to solve your problem..
I thank you for posting your query here.

I being a surgeon, we encounter so many such cases day in and day out...
I read your question completely and have understood it well enough..

I will analyze all your points..

1. You say, you have had frequent urinary tract infections, Uti. On and off..
Yes. Once you have Uti, it's known to recur and its the natural process of disease..
More common in females..

2. Amikacin, is a real good drug for Uti..
Most of the organisms are sensitive to Amikacin..

3. Pus cells 10 to 15, indicates Uti again...
I will tell how to go about..
Please ensure you have done all these, or please do it once again..
A. Usg renal scan. To find out the causes for such recurrent episodes of Uti..
Most commonly stones cause this.
We have to find out the cause and then treat..

B. Urine Routine

C. Urine Culture and sensitivity.
Please take antibiotic, that is sensitive..
Only then you can expect cure.

D. Most importantly, drink lots of water
Do not store urine for long time, keep emptying bladder
Personal hygiene is important..

4. After all these we can see how to go about..
You should be fine.
And most importantly, be positive and believe that your Uti will be cured and forever..

Hope this helps you, in case you need any further assistance, please let me know..
Take care and God bless..
