Suggest Remedy For Tongue Ulcer With Swollen Glands
My daughter had swollen glands leading to a very sore throat and ulcerated tongue.Doctor gave her cortisone & strong antibiotics.2 days later, very sore mouth, tongue worse even spots on tongue bleading, also gums have gone darker as if bruised. Cant't eat, drinking difficult.Movement of ,mouth painful??

Hi there,
The swollen glands with a very sore throat and ulcerated tongue might be related to throat/mouth infection. To determine the type of infection, further culture of throat swab (for candida, pathological bacteria and virus) is needed. Depending on the results, specific treatment will be prescribed.
Until the results are in, I advise to:
- keep a good oral hygiene
- apply lidocaine cream (for oral use)
- in our practice, we prescribe Oral methylene blue solution
- avoid citrus/carbonated/too hot/spicy/chilly foods/drinks
