Pt 1: 50 y/o post-menopausal with abnormally thickened endometrium (14 mm), Pt 2: A 13 x 10 mm fibroid is seen on the posterior fundus. Would either of these mandate a hysterectomy. My gyn has brought up if I'd be willing to have a full hysterectomy and I'm 90% reluctant. Is the fibroid on the posterior fundus something that could and should be removed without regard to a hysterectomy?
