Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain swollen glands along with difficulty in swallowing seems to be due to
throat infection leading to
Pharyngitis and
Tonsillitis and can be either due to bacterial or Viral infection..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like throat swab culture can help in diagnosis and treated accordingly..
You can be advised a course of antibiotics like
Augmentin or
Azithromycin, anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen or Naproxen, do warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You should suck throat lozenges and chew a Vitamin C pellet..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Sip on plenty of water throughout the day..
You can also gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine before meals to ease in swallowing..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
