Suggest Remedy For Swelling, pain And Tenderness In Shin

I was playing a game of pick up hockey and got a puck shot at my shin just about my ankle. It immediately started to bruise and swell. It has been over 12 hours and it still is swollen and hurts to walk on at times. It is still in the process of bruising. It also hurts to touch.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
It's blunt trauma to shin due to stick. I would advise radiograph of involved leg anteroposterior and lateral views to rule out possibility of minor fracture.if it's normal start tab diclofenac plus serratiopeptodase combination twice a day for pain relief. Apply ice packs locally as it helps in pain and swelling reduction. Discoloration may persist for little longer time. Apply crepe bandage during day time to contain swelling. Do not worry.
