Suggest Remedy For Swelling Of Nose

Hi, I have started to develop allergies after having my first baby a year ago. My nose has felt so swollen (even though it doesn t feel stuffed just runny) that the cartilage that runs from the bone down the middle is extremely tender. I can compare the pain to when you have a toothache and you bite down and feel the pressure. Is this normal and what can I take to relieve it?

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

This swollen nose could be because of allergic reaction or cellulitis and which could be the reason of your pain and tenderness.

You may go for complete hemogram,ESR to rule out any infection.

You will need to take antibiotics (cefadroxyl),analgesic (diclofenac) and antihistamines like certrizine or benadryl to get relieve from this swollen with hot fomentation.

Consult ENT surgeon if you do not get relieved.

Regards,
