Suggest Remedy For Swelling In Throat After Inhaling Apple Cider Vinegar
I inhaled (went down the wrong pipe) apple cider vinegar and when I did, my throat swelled and I was rendered unable to breathe. Luckily, I had some ginger ale near by when I drank it, it opened up my throat again, but my voice remains raspy and it s extremely painful to speak or eat. Are there any simple ways I could treat this?
Hello and the welcome to HCM, The swelling of throat is due to irritative effect of apple cider vinegar. The inability to breathe momentarily is probably due to swelling of throat which caused narrowing of airways. Now the throat is painful and voice is rough. The symptoms suggest that there is inflammation of the throat mucosa. An anti-inflammatory anti-histaminic agent along with soothing of throat mucosa is required. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and prescription of appropriate medication.
