General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms of your wife seem to be related to an allergic reaction, probably due to the shampoo that she is using. The dermadew lotion is not a steroid cream. The major part of the lotion is aloe vera which has anti inflammatory properties. So, she can use it as long as needed. I also recommend to avoid harsh shampoos and use gentle shampoos for sensitive skin.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
