Suggest Remedy For Swelling Between Base Of Neck And Collarbone

I noticed 2 days ago swelling between base of neck and collarbone. It feels slightly numb. No other symptoms. I m 47 and in good health. Do not smoke and only drink occasionally (couple of glasses of wine once a month). I do wake up with a stiff neck but I do some stretching, which seems to help. Only meds I take are ibuprofen for headaches. Any suggestions?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you are having swelling between your neck and collarbone. I think it is muscular swelling . You continue with ibuprofen for pain relief. Another possibility is lymph node enlargement if it is hard. You can get its biopsy if it hard and separate from muscle. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care
