Suggest Remedy For Stomach Infection In A Child

Hi. I got stool culture done for my 3 month old son as he is is suffering from diarrhea on and off from past 2 months. Report says 18 to 20 pus cell, mucus flakes +++ and no salmonella, shigella and vibrio grown. It doesn't talk about E.Coli as the lab is of the opinion that E.Coli is natural flora and is found in all stool samples. Gave Walamycin and Zifi drops in past but the condition recurs. He is exclusively breastfed and now giving him Oflomac and Zioral. Pls advise.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking query on health care magic.
The treatment which you are following is alright.
It takes about 3-4 days for cure.
You may add a probiotic like Sporolac once daily in addition to the drugs you are using.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose.
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required.
Take care
