Suggest Remedy For Sticky And Thick Saliva With Discomfort In Mouth

A year ago, it began with burning tongue, then dry mouth for several months, now hyper-salivation. Used every OTC dry mouth remedy available. Maybe too many as it's changed course and now I have sticky, thick saliva and a very unpleasant feeling in my mouth.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the thick sticky saliva is not due to hypersalivation but it is due to reduced mucous flow in saliva only..
Due to unpleasant feeling you have a Psychological thought that it is due to increased salivation..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he can rule out the exact cause of problem out of which common ones are Salivary Gland disorders, nerve damage supplying Salivary Gland, Oral infections like Thrush, side effects of medicines, mouth breathing etc..
As of now you should drink plenty of water..
Chew sugar free chewing gum and sick tart candies..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
