Suggest Remedy For Sprain On The Right Side Of The Body

Hi, I am 42 year old female. I was coming up stairs and just before clearing the last step, I tripped and fell onto the concrete landing. I tried to hold onto the railing to catch myself from falling only to fall hard onto my right side. Dr. said that I had sprained my whole right side virtually from my neck, back, shoulder and hip. It s been 2 months and my condition is not improving. I ve had e-rays that showed nothing. I ve gone through 15 sessions of PT. I ve been on light duty since my injury. Having done xtra walking last week at work, I ended up in bed all day last Friday. The weekend was rough. I went back to dr that Monday and was put on bed rest 2 days. Saw dr again today and symptoms are not consistent with the type of fall I had. Currently, my back fatigues very quickly and hurts constant, my mid back hurts like a ball is stuck in it, my hip throbs all the time and sometimes pain radiates down my leg on outer thigh and sometimes it radiates just below my buttock.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.
You may need further investigation to know reason for persistent pain.

MRI spine or CT scan may helpful after proper clinical examination.

Till time continue physiotherapy and exercises.

Medication like methylcobalamine and analgesic will reduce pain.
You can do spine exercises and focus on spine extension exercises.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
